6200 Altered Street Rules for the 2011-2013 Seasons
1. Engine Limitations
- 505 cubic inch limit with 1% allowance
- Must be factory production style block, no aftermarket blocks allowed
- 4.500 maximum bore size
- No Aluminum blocks or heads allowed
- No Rocker arm ratio greater than 1.7
- No Jesel or similar style shaft rocker systems allowed unless they come from factory with shaft rockers (for example - Chrysler)
- No belt drive timing systems allowed
- Must run 4150 carb on gas (same carb rules as 6300 class)
- must run 4150 style intake, no 4500 base intakes allowed
- Intake spacers will be limited to 3 inches total from base of intake to the carb.
- Must run standard racing gas - no additives or oxygenated fuel allowed.
- Electric fuel pumps and regulators will be allowed.
- No vaccum pumps or external oil pumps allowed
- No kicked out style oil pans allowed
- MSD boxes will be allowed, but may be no larger than a 6AL
- No nitrous or nitrous accessories allowed on any part of truck
- Motor must be in stock location
- No Hemi or Hemi style heads, no Ex 514, A460 TFS heads, or any other type of cast iron heads that does not accept a stock manufactured intake manifold without the use of spacers, shims, or wedges used to adapt manifold. No fuel injection.
2. Chassis, Body and Powertrain
- No gutting of bed or any other body parts.(NONE AT ALL) All trucks should have a "street appearance". Street appearance shall be defined a: Grills, light fixtures, and body parts in their original locations.
- Competitors with gutted beds that can meet all other rules will be allowed to run in the class with a 100 pound handicap (6100 lbs)
- Truck hitches can be no shorter than 36% of trucks wheelbase and rigid in all directions. Maximum hitch height will be 24". Front pivot point of hitch can be no higher than 2 inches above frame rails.
- Hitch must be at least a 3" round opening horizontal to the ground
- Weight frames will be allowed but may not extend any further forward than 60" from center of front axle.
- Rear ends may be blocked, but cannot be welded solid - must be some movement.Must have at least 4 leaf springs on back rear
- No powertrain parts over 1 ton allowed.
- Must have factory glass in all windows
- No traction bars allowed on front rear.
- Must have shields on all U-joints
- No fuel cells or batteries allowed outside of truck body
- Racing seats will be allowed
- Hydraulic steering will be allowed but must run through a factory steering box
- No fiberglass body parts with the exception of a hood scoop
- Rear brake drums must be in place
- All trucks must have a full size body with 6 or 8 ft bed ( no S-10 or Ranger bodies)
- Must have working backup light that is actuated when put in reverse
- No centrifugal slipper clutches allowed
3. Exhaust
- Exhaust must run through pipes at least 1 foot behind cab. Mufflers are not required
- Pipe diameter can be no greater than 3.5 inches.
4. Tires and Wheels
- Tires will be limited to 12.50 X 33 max size.
- No Trxus tires allowed in class.
- No custom made aluminum wheels or offset wheels allowed in class -Store bought aluminum wheels are legal. Rear tires must track front tires.
5. General Class Rules
- Must have a valid driver's license to compete in class
- Test puller must return to 6th place if they decide to drop their pull.No test puller shall be allowed to drop to last unless a legit can be proven to the track offical
- If any issues arise during the season, the rule committee will meet and make the final decision.
- If its not allowed in the classes above, its not allowed in this class! Use some common sense if its not listed in the rules.
- Must be Dragon Motorsports member to receive points.
- Anyone caught cheating is subject to suspension for 1 year from DMP.
6. Safety
- All trucks must be equipped with blowproof shields or transmission blankets
-Kill Switch mandatory will 1 inch hole at back of truck
- All u-joints must fully shielded
- All competitors must wear firesuit and helmet
