Super Stock Semi's Rules for the 2009 Season
- The puller must be a Dragon MotorSports member to receive points
- Point system will be like other Dragon classes - 50 points for first, 48 points for second - 2 points down per position finished
- Puller may drop worst hook of the year
- Minimum purse will be
- First - $400
- Second - $300
- Thrid - $ 200
- Fourth - $100
- Must have drivers license to pull in super stock semi class
- Must be Tandem-style truck - no triples or singles
- Maximum weight will be 20,000 pounds with driver
- Exhaust pipes must point straight up (no curved pipes at top)
- Welded rears are permitted
- Must have U-joint shields on shaft from transmission to front rear - minimum 5/16 inch thick steel
- Hitches:
- All Super Stock Semi trucks are required to have a frame mounted hitch assembly
- Hitch can have no connection to real axle or bumper bar assembly
- Hitch may be no shorter than 34 inches, measured from the center of the real axle to the point of hook, and no longer than 30 percent of the wheelbase
- A minimum of 3 and 3/4 inch hole required for chain hook
- Hitch must be a minimum of three square inches of total material (steel) at any point. This includes the area of the pin with the pin removed
- The hook point can be no longer than two inches from the back edge of the hitching device
- Maximum hitch height is 18 inches and be adjustable from 16 to 20 inches. The area five inches wide and 12 inches high directly ABOVE the drawbar must be free of all obstructions including weights
- Trucks are required to pull from the standard 46 inch sled chain
- Enginee Limitations:
- Single Turbo charger (no size limit)
- Injection pump must be same size as engine type
- Water injection is allowed
- Must have working "Kill Switch" located at back of truck to the right of the hitch point
- Protest Fee will be $500.00 to have a truck checked
